The State of Rio Grande do Norte
|
The name of this
state, translated as the "Great River of the North" is
in reference to the mouth of the Potengi river, on which its capital
and largest city Natal, is located.
Because of its geographic position, Rio Grande do Norte has a strategic importance and according to NASA, has the purest air in South America. Its 410 km of sun drenched beaches, coconut palms and lagoons are responsible for its fame and tourist potential. |
