Brazil and its huge
potential
Brazil once was almost
a forgotten country.
Almost the size of a continent,
It has a population of less than 200 million people. A melting pot of
races, nationalities, and cultures.
Always friendly and welcoming to foreigners, Brazilians will easily
make you feel at home.
Brazil has a great deal
of potential for them, and for the foreign investors flocking to their
sun drenched shores.
Brazil has the largest
area in the world which is suitable for agriculture. Its relative
lack of dry areas and perfect weather conditions mean products can be
produced all year round.
Agriculture production
increases at about 13% every year
Production of ethanol as
a bio-fuel grows increases at about 13% every year
For the last five years
over 90% of all cars produced in Brazil will run on a mixture of fossil
fuel and ethanol.
Brazil is the second largest
producer of Ethanol, and also exports Ethanol, of which it is a world
leader, beyond USA and China. All new cars produced in Brazil (total
flex), can be filled up with any mixture of gasoline and Ethanol. Even
those filling up with 100% gasoline are taking in 25% Ethanol, the amount
in a normal litre of gasoline. and diesel holds as standard 5% biodiesel.
All gas-stations sell these alternative fuel mixtures.
And the percentage is always
rising, making use of these bio-fuels and alternative energies inevitable.
People think Brazils
main export is cattle and indeed there is more cattle per head than
people,
But it also produces 50%
of the worlds sugar, 50% of the worlds chicken and is a
large producer of soybean.
Brazils oil
Brazil has more than 9000
km of stunning coastline on the Atlantic Ocean.
Along way from the coast
and deep under the surface of the sea lies the newly discovered "Presal"
oilfields although only recently proven to have existed as only a fraction
is now explored.
This Presal covers the
largest part of Brazilians immense territorial waters.
The state controlled oil
company already operates around 350 deep-water wells drilling in over
300 metres of water.
This is more than any other
oil company in the world.
The largest oil discoveries
of the last 20 years have been in it, and although regular new immense
discoveries are made, they dont even make the headlines due to
their frequency.
This deep oil drilling
is a immense technological challenge, but several of them were put in
production in record time, showing brazils competence in the field.
Brazils main oil
company Petrobras, a state company, is the seventh largest oil producer
of the world and Brazil is expected to progress to number four from
number seventeen in oil production in the world by 2020.
Water and hydroelectricity
& Mineral deposits
The Amazon River holds
one third of all the freshwater in the world.
Where the Amazon meets
the Atlantic Ocean it is almost 200 km wide the first explorers thought
they were still at sea, when they in fact where navigating the river
90% of Brazils electrical
energy is produced by renewable hydropower.
And the Amazon river is
only the third in the line for production behind other Brazilian rivers.
Brazil holds reserves of
iron, to cover the consumption for the whole world for over 800 years.
It also provides the cheapest
iron, Brazil holds the largest open mine of high quality iron in the
world. Almost all processing and production of stainless steel in Brazil
uses alternative energy.
Future alternative energy
structures all over the world including wind turbines and hydroelectric
facilities etc.. will hold a substantial amount of stainless steel produced
with alternative energy in Brazil. Brazil has the largest hydro dam
in operation off the world for several decades now.
The Farol do Calcanhar
was built during World War II to Guide Allied Forces and Natal the capital
of Rio Grande do Norte had a part in the liberation of Europe and ending
the war.
The role of Brazil, Natal (called the trampoline of Victory) and the
lighthouse are not well known. However it is fact that after the war,
the USA compensated Brazil for its help and logistic by helping to develop
Brazil's huge hydro energy capacity and its huge steel industry.
Brazil has the sixth largest
uranium reserves in the world, but they have only investigated 30% of
its area for this resource.
Roughly spoken about 60
% of its territory is still unexplored (or at least unexploited).
Guaranteed investment
In 2008 Brazil was the
world's eighth largest economy by GDP and the ninth largest by purchasing
power parity .
It is a founding member of the United Nations and the Union of South
American Nations .
During the recent crisis
there is no real downturn or meltdown in Brazil.
International currency
reserves are at record high and climbing fast, due to indirect and direct
investments from China and the world.
Brazil took emergency measures
to try to stem the flow of money pouring in by raising a 2% tax, although
they did not succeed and it is a popular as ever.
Alternative energy and
confidence
Today 90 to 95 percent
of all energy produced in Brazil is produced by hydro energy.
This enormous amount is distributed by a well organized national grid
that covers the entirety of Brazil and crosses several South American
borders.
All alternative production
is connected to this international grid, as is the largest wind farm
of Latin America, 25 km from your Villa. This region offers some of
the world's most favourable conditions for wind and solar energy.
To the effect, one alternative
source compensates for the other when lacking in wind, there is water
etc.. and the regions with more sustainability compensate for those
with less, giving an efficient system that reduces power outages.
Brazil sees the year 2010
as year zero mainly for an economy powered by renewable energy as seen
on the cover of Veja, probably the most renown and quite popular national
magazine.
When you feel the potential
and confidence of Brazil on one side and the insecure tone of the developed
world on the other side, one could get confused and hardly believe this
is the same world because of its stark contrast
Natal and the state of
Rio Grande do Norte is a favourite tourist destination for Brazilians
and South Americans. It has ideal weather all year round. Because Latin
America and Brazil in particular are buoying, it now has a record number
of charter flights coming in to its international airports.
My House in Paradise
The average temperature
here is 28 degrees Celsius year round. With a refreshing sea breeze
and bath warm seas.
The price you pay per square
foot is a fraction of some other formerly booming locations.
The superior build quality
and durability of our ZEB villas is a factor and means extremely low
maintenance.
The 2014 world cup, 2012
Olympic Games and the largest airport in Latin American (2011) are all
due to increase foreign interest in Brazil and Natal in particular.
Creating a unique investment
opportunity.
Do not get distracted by

NOTES & ARTICLES
Brazilian law is based
on Roman -Germanic traditions.
The Supreme Federal Tribunal is the first court in the world to transmit
its sessions on television , and more recently also via Youtube .
More recently, in December 2009, the Supreme Court adopted Twitter to
display items on the day planner of the ministers, to inform the actions
that arrive daily to the Court, and the most important decisions made
by them.

According to World Bank
figures, Brazil would already be in fifth place in 2014.
But as last week's Financial
Times-hosted Investing in Brazil Summit demonstrated, the country's
main movers and shakers are in buoyant mood, elated at how strongly
it emerged from recession.
While many countries, including
the UK, are still feeling the impact of the global financial crisis,
Brazil had just two quarters of contraction before bouncing back with
1.9% growth in the April-to-June period.

According to these projections, it will leapfrog the UK, France and

The pre-salt region stretches
for hundreds of kilometers along Brazil's coast.
So far, official estimates in just three fields point to a potential
yield of around 14 billion barrels of oil.
However, according to senior minister and presidential hopeful Dilma
Rousseff, the entire region could contain between 25 to 100 billion
barrels of oil.
